Paint Correction · 4 minute read
What Paint Correction Can—and Cannot—Change
Correction improves what is present and safely correctable. Missing paint, deep damage, and prior repairs require different expectations.
Inspection comes first
Lighting, paint history, defect depth, panel material, previous repairs, and remaining finish condition affect what can be safely improved.
Improvement is not replacement
Machine polishing can refine correctable swirls, haze, and defects. It cannot recreate missing color coat, repair a dent, or guarantee a factory-new finish on every panel.
Protection follows the finish decision
Once the correction target is agreed, the owner can decide how much ongoing protection and maintenance support fit the vehicle’s use.
